Bowen is a gentle holistic therapy which works via small targeted movements over the fascia (soft connective tissue) in the body. These movements are followed by short treatment breaks which allows the body to reset and realign as appropriate assisting the body's own natural healing process.
Developed by Australian therapist Tom Bowen in the 1950's, precise moves over muscles, tendons and ligaments help promote pain relief, relaxation and improved energy flow.
Bowen therapy is non-invasive and typically performed through light clothing.
Sessions usually last around 30-60 minutes, and changes can be observed in just a few weekly sessions.
My name is Kirsty Newnham and I qualified as a Bowen Practitioner in 2022. After experiencing life changing personal results with Bowen for infertility treatment I was motivated to make a career change and embark upon the training with CBS (college of Bowen Studies). It never gets boring helping people and genuinely making a positive difference to people's lives.
Previously I worked as a chartered Quantity Surveyor in Construction until I took a career break to look after my children. Bowen now allows me to work around my family.
I have two cockapoos, two horses, two chickens and a guinea pig so life is always enriched!
I have the following qualifications and training:
